THE SCIENCE

OF BETTER FEET

Developed with podiatrists, the Custom Fit Orthotic Center uses over 2,000 pressure sensors to create a unique FootMap Analysis of your feet—identifying pressure points, arch type and foot length. After evaluating your data, it recommends the Custom Fit™ Orthotic Inserts that will give you the best fit and optimal comfort and support.

The moment you step on the Kiosk, thousands of sensors spring into action and begin identifying the areas of your feet where you put the most pressure. Within seconds, your FootMap Analysis appears on screen highlighting your specific pressure points in real time — from red for high pressure, all the way to blue for low pressure.

Walk Through The
Measurement Process

WELCOME SCREEN

As soon as you step on the Kiosk, press Start and get ready to see your feet in a new and better light. During this step you’ll learn about the FootMapping® Technology, and how it uses your individual foot measurements to recommend the right pair of Custom Fit™ Orthotic Inserts for your feet.

FOOT POSITION AND BALANCE

This step simulates the pressure you put on your feet when you're standing still. You begin by placing your heels within the footprints on the mat. Instantly, your FootMap Analysis appears on the screen. You then simply lean forward to move the yellow circle into the blinking green target and lock in the measurement.

LEFT FOOT ASSESSMENT

During this step, you will lift your right foot to simulate walking. You can see immediately how your FootMap Analysis changes on the screen. High pressure spots are shown in red, and low pressure spots are in blue.

RIGHT FOOT ASSESSMENT

Once you complete the left foot scan, you’ll be asked to do the same for your right foot. Again high pressure spots are shown in red, and low pressure spots are in blue.

This is where the magic happens. During this step all the data collected from the over 2000 sensors is processed and your unique pressure points, pressure profile, and foot characteristics are identified.

Now, the Kiosk will tell you which pair of Custom Fit™ Orthotic Inserts is right for your feet. A complete selection of Dr. Scholl’s® Custom Fit™ Orthotics is located on the sides of the Kiosk, so you can quickly locate and purchase the pair that matches your profile.
